When a biologist friend returned from a field station in the fall, he brought with him an enormous beaver that had been in the freezer.

Almost as an afterthought, he asked, "I've got a porcupine too—do you want it?"

 

Thus began the grand adventures of the Porculope (the beaver is back in the freezer).
