WHITEWASHED
The Whitewashed series asks the question: "How do we Whitewash our impact on the natural world?"
In its execution, this series became a transformative process for those pelts and specimens that were simply too damaged for taxidermy work. We like to think that nothing is too damaged or messy for La Grotesquerie, and that every piece has its own beauty. In doing so, I am challenging notions of art, esthetics, materials, and exploring the notion of man as a change agent, for good or for ill.
